30 DAYS IN APRIL
Poems and prompts - raising money for UNICEF
I’m diving into your inbox unexpectedly and quickly to let you know that I’ve decided to donate the money raised from my 30 DAYS IN APRIL daily poem and prompt calendar to the UNICEF appeal in Ukraine.
30 DAYS IN APRIL costs £30 (a £1 a day amazingly enough) and you will get a piece of writing and a writing prompt to your inbox every day of April. This may be a poem, or a diary entry or a piece of prose - together with an invitation to follow a linked writing prompt. You’ll find new writers, get reacquainted with old friends, and surprise yourself on the page.
It follows on from my Advent Calendar, where we raised over £500 for DAVSS, but this one takes the theme of AWAKENING!
If you would like to join us, and many of you have already expressed interest, then please transfer £30 via Paypal here. Can I ask you do ‘Friends and Family’ though, because otherwise there is a charge to me, and I’d love the charity to get the full amount.
Then just email me - sarah@sarahsalway.co.uk, to let me know you’ve paid, and I’ll put you on the list. If you don’t do paypal, again email me and I’ll send bank details.
Even if you’ve said YES before, I’d love for you to do the two steps above so I don’t get lost. I find I am so easily lost these days…!
I’m so grateful for you all, and to play a part in our community. I’ve been feeling so hopeless about all that’s been happening recently, and then I realised that I should do what I love doing most anyway - sharing poems and writing prompts with people I think might enjoy them. Let’s all read and write and use our creativity for good.
Here’s what some nice people said about the Advent Calendar…
I just wanted to say that this is beautiful and thank you. I am really enjoying the advent calendar and the little gift you are sending me each morning, although saving most of them for writing later!
Thank you so much for this. My poems are normally dark as Squid ink but, thanks to you, I've written three positive ones so far this month
Just to say I loved this latest gift in my inbox! I’ve spent a happy hour clicking your links and sharing in your lovely gift of light, inspiration and general brilliance. Thank you!
I kept coming back to these creative, inspiring suggestions - and I don't even write!
THANK YOU!
What a wonderful idea.
